At Touch Care, we provide personalised support that helps people live more independently, stay connected to their community and take part in the everyday activities that are important to them. Our support is about more than simply completing tasks. We work alongside each person to understand what matters to them, what they want to achieve and how they want to be supported.
Our support workers can provide practical assistance with everyday life, including personal care, daily living, shopping, appointments, household routines, community participation and social activities. We can also support people to get active, develop independence and practical life skills, explore new interests, maintain routines and stay connected with family, friends and the wider community.
Every person has different needs, goals, preferences and circumstances, so the support we provide is shaped around the individual. We take the time to get to know the person, build a genuine connection and provide support in a way that respects their choices, dignity and independence.
We believe good support starts with listening.
Our approach is based on respect, dignity, choice and control. We recognise that every person is different, and we work with participants to understand what is important to them and how they want their support to be provided.
Our support workers aim to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where participants feel heard, respected and empowered to make their own choices.
We work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support coordinators and other relevant professionals where appropriate, while respecting the participant’s privacy, rights and preferences.
The safety and wellbeing of the people we support is central to our service.
We maintain appropriate systems, policies and procedures to support the delivery of safe and high quality services. Our workers are appropriately screened and engaged in accordance with applicable requirements, and we provide support within the scope of their role, skills and responsibilities.
We are committed to continuously improving our services and welcome feedback from participants, families, carers, support coordinators and other people involved in a participant’s support.
You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect, to make decisions about your own life and supports, and to provide feedback about the services you receive.
If you would like to discuss support or make a referral, please contact us through our referral page.
We are here to support people to live with greater choice, confidence, connection and independence.
