Touch Care is a small disability support provider built around a simple idea: support should be personal.
We believe some of the best outcomes come from taking the time to understand the person behind the support plan: their routines, interests, strengths, preferences and the things they want from life.
Rather than taking a one size fits all approach, we focus on building genuine working relationships and providing practical support that makes sense in everyday life.
Touch Care is currently operated by our Director, who also provides support directly to participants.
This means participants are not simply allocated to an unfamiliar worker after making an enquiry. There is an opportunity to talk, ask questions and determine whether the relationship feels right before support begins.
Being a small provider also allows us to keep communication direct and accountability clear.
As Touch Care grows, maintaining this personal approach will remain central to the way we operate.
Disability support can involve very practical things: getting somewhere, completing a task, participating in an activity or developing a new skill.
But how that support is provided matters just as much.
We want participants to feel listened to, respected and comfortable being themselves.
Our role is not to take over someone's life. It is to provide the right level of support while encouraging choice, participation, confidence and independence wherever possible.
